CEO Everett Carpenter and CMO Adam Matalon recently attended the NY Venture Summit while also taking meetings with select venture Capital firms in the city.
The duo are continuing the momentum of the entire team as we finalize negotiations for license agreements and put deals in place with two key contract manufacturers in the US and Germany. The company expects to break ground on its own manufacturing facility in Q1 2025 nearby the company headquarters in Richmond VA.
A rigorous ASTM C518: Heat Flow Meter Testing by Intertek and TA Waters Instruments confirmed ThermaGEL’s VIP panels exhibit outstanding thermal properties. ThermaGEL Innovations a leader in climate materials solutions, is thrilled to announce that results of recent independent testing, exceeding company expectations and validating the superior performance of its groundbreaking aerogel vacuum insulated panels (VIPs). These independent findings mark a significant milestone for the company’s mission to revolutionize commercial building retrofit overlays with innovative, cost effective, high-efficiency materials, that support ZNE and ESG goals.
In an industry where innovation meets sustainability, the Aerogel of the future has arrived. As a pioneering climate materials solutions company ThermaGEL is propelling Aerogel technology into a new era of efficiency and affordability.
Vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) are excellent thermal insulators but are not practical due to their high cost and difficulty being shaped to size. VCU, in collaboration with Richmond-based ThermaGEL, has developed a patented, commercially-viable aerogel core that can be packaged into a VIP that is easy to handle and can be made in custom sizes without specialized equipment. With their unique combination of thermal insulation, mechanical strength, fireproofing, and lower cost, aerogel materials are ideal for a wide range of applications across multiple industries, improving the technology’s market penetration potential.
ThermaGEL Innovations, a pioneering climate materials solutions company, is set to revolutionize the landscape of architectural design and construction insulation with its cutting-edge aerogel material. ThermaGEL is poised to disrupt the $61 billion global new and retrofit construction market, delivering reduced costs, energy savings, and unparalleled environmental benefits.
In the fight against climate change, properly insulating homes and buildings can significantly raise energy efficiency and indoor air quality while lowering carbon dioxide emissions. A startup company, spun out of research at Virginia Commonwealth University, is commercializing what it calls a breakthrough in low-cost insulation materials.
ThermaGEL Innovations has developed an insulation material composed of aerogels, which are porous solids made mostly of air. According to the start-up, the novel material improves heat resistance, or R-value, by 136% over fiberglass and other conventional materials. In addition, the aerogel material is thinner, lightweight, fireproof, moisture-proof and noise-reducing.
WE'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY! This marks the foundational press release for the company as we finalized the long term exclusive license of the ground breaking technology that has evolved into our dynamic thermal panels.
